Best's Great Western Foudre Ferment Riesling
An intriguing nose of florals and citrus, evoking finger lime, elderflowers and wet mill stone. A latticework of creamy citrus flavors entwined with the unrelenting drive of steely acidity and powdery minerality.

About Best’s Great Western
Best’s has been proudly producing world-class wines for over 150 years in Victoria’s Great Western region (about 2.5hours west of Melbourne). They still make wines from some of the world’s oldest vines dating back to 1868. As one of Australia’s oldest and continuously family owned and operated wineries, they craft extraordinary and iconic wines of elegance and longevity.
Production note
The aromatic juice is given extended skin contact then wild fermented in a large French oak foudre (barrel) made by the famous cooper Marc Grenier. The resultant wine exhibits both the complexities of a barrel ferment and spontaneous fermentation without the overt oak flavor, due to the large size and subtlety of the foudre.
