About Good Intentions Wine Co

Andrew and Louise, a husband and wife team, planted their organically managed vineyard with Andrew heading up the local viticultural association in order to try to get the region on Australia’s organic winemaking map! In the meantime, they manage and source fruit from three local sites. They do not filter or fine their wines and they are all bottled on. Their aim is to produce great tasting unique wines expressing this unique terroir above anything else.

Production note

The only 2 rows of Shiraz planted in Mount Gambier. The fruit is grown on one of Mount Gambier's unique sites with an abundance of ancient flint rock and limestone close to the ocean. Shiraz whole bunch carbonic maceration before being destemmed and left on skins for 24 hours; pressed early for light color and juicy flavors. 2020 being such a small year meant tiny grapes and huge concentration. Giving this wine a real savory edge, drawing from the large amounts of Flint (fossilized limestone) in the soils of these vines. All resulting in a much more complex style of Relatively Red than in the past.
